Claremont has experienced significant growth with school numbers doubling in the last five years, placing significant pressure on the already well-utilised facilities.
As a highly regarded provider of crucial services to students with intellectual and multiple disabilities in the Ipswich area over the past 20 years, the Queensland Government has committed funding towards new state-of-the-art teaching facilities at the Silkstone Campus.
The project includes a new three level building which will house 10 additional classrooms and an administration area. Works will also include a new roadway access to an enclosed undercroft area for School vehicles, a car park and set down area, covered walkways between buildings as well as the incorporation of green space and demolition of the redundant Administration area.
The project is being delivered on vacant land adjacent to the existing school.
